SEE THE CARDS WIN WITHOUT FIGHTING THE CROWDS
Are you a proud citizen of Cardinal Nation? Summer time in the city of St. Louis is the best time of year for baseball fans. The ballpark is open and the birds are on the field.
Heading into the city to see your favorite players in action is an absolute must, and with the affordable tickets and awesome accommodations at Busch Stadium, there’s no excuse for you to miss out on attending one or more of this summer’s games. However, even the most hardcore Cards fans can’t be at every game.
The good news is that there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and clubs in the St. Louis area that can be just as exciting and fun as the ballpark itself.
DISCOVER BALLPARK VILLAGE
This summer Cardinals fans were finally given what they had been waiting for after years development. Ballpark Village, a string of bars and restaurants located just across the street from Busch Stadium, opened to instant popularity.
You can purchase tickets to sit on the rooftop establishments at Ballpark Village, but the best thing about it is that the lower stories are completely open to the public. The Budweiser Brew House and Fox Sports Midwest Hub are both filled with Cardinals fans and television screens showing the game during home and away games. Since you are so close to the ballpark and near so many fans just like yourself, going to Ballpark Village to watch the game almost feels as if you really are inside the stadium.
Busch’s downtown location and open stadium design has been giving bars and restaurants in the downtown area an advantage on game nights for years. Even before the construction of the much anticipated Ballpark Village, rooftop bars near the stadium have been opening up their patios for Cardinals fans to peer into the ballpark for years. Three Sixty is a bar located at the top of the Hilton that looks directly into the ballpark. The bar has long been popular for people who wish to stop by to watch a game, or for people who want to rent out the space for a large party.
ST. LOUIS SPORTS BARS
You don’t need to go all the way down town to watch the game with a lively group of fans. There are sports bars all over the St. Louis area where fans can congregate to see the game together. St. Louis Sports Zone in Shrewsbury is a popular spot with two bars and televisions everywhere. The menu is your typical sports bar fare with delicious chicken wings, burgers, and more. Fans of the Delmar Loop can head over to Market Pub House for some quality burgers and sports watching. Lastly, if you are in the Webster Groves area, head over to Weber’s Front Row to catch the game. Make sure to order some chicken wings and some of their crispy St. Louis style pizza.
There are tons of fantastic spots on the east side of the river as well. Mike Shannon’s, whose downtown bar has been a long time destination for Cardinals fans has opened a new location in Edwardsville. Pitchers in Belleville is known for its baseball friendly atmosphere and its delicious pizza. It’s also a fantastic place to bring the whole family.
The Cardinals are currently second in the central division of the National League. There is still plenty of time this summer for them to pull ahead of the Brewers. A bit of rallying from the fans never hurts. Whether you are buying tickets to the game or if you are just heading to one of your favorite bars to grab dinner and watch the games with your friends, cheering on the Cardinals is one of the best ways to spend your time in St. Louis.
If you are thinking about going downtown to watch the game with a group of friends, consider calling a St. Louis car service to get you there. Take out the hassle of driving, parking, walking, and even the risk of having one too many. We can take care of all of your driving needs while you take in the game with no worries.
