Upcoming Events in St. Louis

It’s been a great year for the Scottrade Center with the Blues making it all the way to the playoffs. car service to scottrade center

However, even though the hockey season is now over, Scottrade will still be host to some must see events this summer.

There are some huge concerts coming through the St. Louis area, and you are going to want to keep your eyes open to see if some of your favorite artists might be coming to town.

Big Music Stars

June will see the arrival of one of the biggest divas in the music industry today. Cher will be giving a one night only concert in St. Louis on Wednesday, June 4th, followed by pairing of rock stars Rod Stewart and Carlos Santana on Friday, June 6th. Tickets are still available for both events.

For the younger crowd, Hot 104.1’s Super Jam will be taking place on Saturday June 21st. The Super Jam is St. Louis’ biggest celebration of hip-hop and R&B.

This year the concert will feature up and coming rapper Kendrick Lamar whom critics have consistently reviewed as one of the most promising young hip-hop artists in the industry today.

Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry are also popular with the younger crowd. Both are coming to St. Louis in August, but get your tickets right away as seats are bound to go fast.

Broadway Shows

Concerts are not the only big events coming to Scottrade this summer.

On July 1st, an arena production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Tony Award nominated Jesus Christ Superstar will be stopping in at the Scottrade Center, and Jesus is not the only superstar in this production.

The show features an all-star cast featuring Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams as Mary Magdalene, *NSYNC’s JC Chasez as Pontius Pilot, The Sex Pistol’s Johnny Rotten as King Herod, and Incubus’ Brandon Boyd as Judas Iscariot.

What’s Nearby

If you are planning to take a trip to the Scottrade Center for an event this summer, you should make a day of it.

Don’t just head into the city for the concert alone.

The Scottrade Center is located right in the middle of downtown St. Louis, so there are plenty of attractions, restaurants, and bars for you to check out while you are in town.

The Scottrade Center is right next to St. Louis’ Union Station. Union Station is home to a lot more than trains and buses, it is also a great downtown location full of shopping and good eats. The St. Louis Hard Rock Café is located within Union Station among many other food choices.

Across the street from Union Station is Maggie O’Brien’s, one of St. Louis’ favorite Irish pubs. It’s a popular destination all year round as they provide an excellent service to event goers in the downtown area.

After grabbing a bite and some drinks at Maggie O’Brien’s, you can catch a shuttle service to the Scottrade Center before your event for only $1. Just park your car for free in the Maggie O’Brien’s parking lot and you will not have to worry about managing parking around the Scottrade Center.

If you just want to grab a couple of drinks before your event, you should definitely check out the Schlafly Tap Room. It’s a few blocks away from the arena, but it’s definitely worth the trip. Schlafly has quickly become St. Louis’ favorite craft brewing company.

It is a must see destination for any beer fan in the St. Louis area. With the arrival of spring and summer, Schlafly will be breaking out some of their favorite seasonal beverages including their summer ale and raspberry hefeweizen.
